Here's The Latest On LSU RB Caden Durham After His MRI On Sunday

On Sunday, ESPN's Pete Thamel shared a promising update on LSU running back Caden Durham, who suffered an ankle injury vs. Southeastern this past weekend.

According to Thamel, Durham's MRI revealed that he does not have a high ankle sprain, and he is expected to practice lightly this week ahead of the Ole Miss game.

LSU coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters on Monday and provided a similar update that Durham is “day-to-day.”

Johnson looked superior anyway. And he gives you the option of having two passing threats in the backfield at the same time.

I expect as the other guys get better at pass blocking, Durham may lose his spot. His vision has just not been there this year.

He isn’t following his blocks at all. There were at least two runs I saw where had he continued on his line he gains 10-15 yards but he got impatient and ran into the Dline. Johnson seems to have taken the lead of the backfield.

Alot of fans won't like this but I don't think Frank Wilson is a good running backs coach, great recruiter, yes. Our running backs regress the longer they are in the program. I think he couches the instinct out of them.

I think a lot of you saw Jordon Rogers highlight several plays where 29 is impatient and not waiting for holes to open up, which they have sometimes. We bang on the OL, but if your rb is impatient and not giving it a step or two for the hole to open, it kills the running game. Wilson seriously needs to sit with this kid and watch film, which I am sure he is. He has elite ability, just needs the vision to go with it.

JJ and Berry should carry the rock more than Durham. JJ has better vision and reads the blocking better along with Berry. Jackson actually look ok also against SLU. Durham will be slower with a bad ankle. Start JJ.
