Ed Orgeron met with the media on Wednesday to preview spring practice and announced that former LSU linebacker Kelvin Shepard has been named Director of Player Personnel.

Shepard, who played under Les Miles from 2006-2010, will replace Kevin Faulk who was recently named LSU's new running back coach.

I approve. I love Coach O going back to the guys who have invested interest in the program... and he is getting former guys who took great pride in playing for LSU. This is how you build a culture.

About a week ago someone on here said that this needed to happen. I don’t recall this being mentioned anywhere else. So was this just a shot in the dark or do we have another insider posting here?
