According to ESPN's projected 12-team College Football Playoff field after Week 8, LSU would make the playoff as a No. 8 seed and host No. 9 Tennessee at Tiger Stadium in the first round. Per On3:
1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Miami
4. BYU
No. 12 Boise State at No. 5 Texas
No. 11 Indiana at No. 6 Ohio State
No. 10 Clemson at No. 7 Penn State
No. 9 Tennessee at No. 8 LSU

The SEC went through some changes over the weekend as Tennessee got back in the playoff picture and these predictions have them as the No. 9 seed. The Volunteers would play conference foe LSU on the road.
The Tigers have won six in a row since losing to USC during the first game of the year. Funny enough, these two teams actually don’t play each other this season but could meet in a first round game.
