One of the biggest storylines around LSU Football this season has been the transformation on the defensive side of the ball under new DC Blake Baker.

The defense, which struggled heavily last year, is now containing opposing offenses and coming with disruptive plays, sacks, and turnovers this season.

On Thursday, head coach Brian Kely talked about the confidence that the defense is now playing with:

"It starts with making plays first. Early on, we didn't make those plays. We came up short. We got behind, and it became a situation where we had to make plays to stay in the game," Kelly said.

"Now, we are making plays, and it's changing the complexity of the game."

"I think confidence breeds itself when you start making plays. Those guys are playing with a lot of confidence because they have made a lot of plays recently. It builds their confidence, and they play with a bit of a swagger now."
