During the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday, LSU coach Brian Kelly was asked about the impending 10-day single-term NCAA Transfer Portal Window in December.

Kelly has previously stated that he is in favor of the single-term window, despite others, like Ohio State Ryan Day, being against it, as there is so much going on in December for playoff teams. Per Football Scoop:
quote:

"We're in support of the new Portal Window to a man in the SEC," said Kelly, whose Tigers are 2-0 and host Florida Saturday night. "I've talked to many who believe across the country that this is the progress we need to make. I want to get my roster set. I know 12 or 16 teams might be in the Playoffs at the time.

"I'm sorry; there's no crying on the yacht. It's the best position at this time that allows us to set our rosters moving forward."

Kelly is 100% right. If you’re a playoff team, I’m sure you’re capable of plugging holes left by guys leaving. No different than when dudes get injured. It’s football. Figure it out.

Spoken like a guy who just wants to win 1. Jay Johnson feels the opposite

He's obviously not concerned about juggling the transfer portal while coaching in the playoffs
