The LSU coaching staff landed a huge commitment on Friday afternoon when four-star defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers.
The 6-4, 288-pound prospect from Baton Rouge (University Lab) chose LSU over Alabama and Texas A&M.
Roy is rated the No. 4 defensive tackle in the country, and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2020, according to Rivals. He was a one-time LSU commit but reopened his recruitment in late February and is now back on board with the Tigers.
LSU now has 22 verbal commits for the class of 2020, with the addition of Roy.
