During his introductory press conference on Monday, new LSU head coach Will Wade was asked about the process of leaving NC State to come to LSU, and when that all started.
Here's what he said:
Wade announced on Twitter that he would be leaving NC State for LSU on March 26.

quote:NC State's season came to an end on March 17 after the Wolfpack's 68-66 loss to Texas in the NCAA Tournament's First Four games.
"Look, we have a familiarity with everybody. I've worked with Verge Ausberry, Wade Rousse, and Heath Schroyer before. There wasn't a formal interview process. We all know each other and have known each other for a long time.
"It really kicked into gear on Wednesday of last week. That's pretty much when first contact was made and when the process started. Because of everyone's familiarity, it moved pretty quickly."
Wade announced on Twitter that he would be leaving NC State for LSU on March 26.
