Multiple sources are reporting that coach LSU head basketball coach Johnny Jones has officially been fired.
LSU athletic director Joe Alleva confirmed the news during his 11 am CT press conference.
Jones played for the Tigers from 1980-1984 and was a member of Dale Brown's coaching staff for 13 seasons (1984-97). During his five years as head coach 2012-2017, the Tigers made the NCAA Tournament just one time. LSU posted a 10-21, (2-16 SEC) record this past season.
