LSU's Ben Simmons Named SEC Preseason Player Of The Year

It was announced Wednesday that LSU freshman forward Ben Simmons was named SEC Men's Basketball Player of the Year.

He becomes the second true freshman to be named to the preseason honor, according to SECSports.com:

Simmons becomes just the second freshman chosen as preseason player of the year by the media, joining Kentucky's Julius Randle in 2013-14.
