Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE – LSU defeated Nicholls State 86-80 Saturday afternoon inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

LSU was led by Cameron Thomas with a career-high 29 points. Trendon Watford wasn't far behind with 22 of his own points on 9/12 shooting. Watford led the Tigers in rebounds with nine, as well as dishing out six assists. Jalen Cook added two steals of his own.

I'll bet they are glad they didn't have to play Texas Southern as Texas Southern is a much better team than Nicholls State.
