LSU head coach Paul Mainieri spoke with reporters on Tuesday and announced that catcher Hayden Travinski has a torn UCL in his right elbow and will miss the remainder of the season. Per The Advocate:

Travinski felt a “weird” sensation in his arm after making a throw to second base during LSU’s series against South Carolina three weeks ago, Mainieri said. He will undergo Tommy John surgery Wednesday, ending his season.

“A catcher,” Mainieri said. “Who would have ever thought?”

Without Travinski, sophomore Alex Milazzo has taken over again as LSU’s starting catcher. Junior Jake Wyeth will serve as the primary backup with senior Braden Doughty as the third catcher the rest of the season.

Did Travinski tell you that he didn’t like playing for PM? Why would you assume that he doesn’t want to play for him?

Because the team has quit on him. The only people who still believe in him is the school and you.

Oh good one. You’re not very bright. Just because the team has struggled this year does not mean the team has quit. Maybe you should watch some of the player interviews and see what they say about the season before you make up stuff like that.
