Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE – With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth, shortstop Josh Smith extended his hit streak to 13 games with a two-RBI single and lifted the No. 9 LSU baseball team to the 4-3 win against Cal Friday night in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Fun fact: The walk off actually refers to the pitcher, not the batter. “Walk-off piece was only intended to describe a pitcher's dejected walk off the field after giving up a game-losing home run, but it soon grew into its own phenomenon.“ LINK

Not really a fun fact, the “walk off” has always been attributed to the away team “walking off the field” when they lose the game in the bottom frame of the last inning before getting 3 outs.

Tiger2424 - That would make the "fun" part of the fact attributed to the Home Team obviously. Seeing how the "WALK OFF" is now attributed to the Home team for scoring the go ahead, winning run in the Bottom of the Last Inning before getting their 3rd out.
