Former LSU baseball player DJ LeMahieu was named the first-team All-MLB second baseman Wednesday night. Per NYDailyNews:

It was LeMahieu’s second straight first-team honors for an award that was only introduced in 2019.

With his .364 batting average leading all of baseball, LeMahieu was a finalist for the MVP and already won a Silver Slugger Award. His 2020 American League batting title made him the second player in history and the only player in modern history to win a batting title in both leagues.
