Kentucky linebacker Kash Daniel spoke to the media on Wednesday and was asked about the Wildcats being ranked No. 9 in the initial College Football Rankings, which led to him suggesting that the National Media doesn't want them to succeed.

"This is what we have worked our butts off for," Daniels said. "To get into the top 10 and get the recognition we earned. A lot of people hate that but we're here, so deal with it."

“When you look at the National Media you know, I think it has something to do with they’re used to seeing Kentucky all basketball season whoopin’ up on people, and their like 'well Kentucky is actually good at another sport,' so I think that’s the factor that they don’t want to see us succeed,” he said.

“Anybody outside of this state doesn’t want to see us succeed unless they live in another state and are from Kentucky.”
