A charter bus driving fans to the Augusta, Ga., golf course crashed, sending 14 fans to the hospital, at least five of whom had serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to WRDW. The incident occurred on Interstate 20 around 8:45 this morning.
The driver, Steven Hoppenbrouwer, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The 61-year-old overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to tip over.
