Georiga inside linebacker Rian Davis is likely out for the rest of the season after suffering a "significant" leg injury that required surgery this week. Per Dawgs247:
Georgia will down an inside linebacker when it takes on South Carolina on Saturday and likely for the rest of the 2021 season. Rian Davis, a redshirt freshman out of Apopka, Fla., has undergone surgery according to an instagram post. Dawgs247 has learned that it is due to a significant injury. Specific details have been tough to come by but trusted sources do not expect Davis to return this season. Dawgs247 has also learned that Davis did not sustain an ACL injury.
Davis played in UGA's week two win over UAB, recording one tackle. He appeared in seven of UGA's 10 games in the 2020 season with a regular role on special teams. He was a member of UGA's kickoff return unit and registered one tackle on the year while seeing reserve minutes on defense. He was dinged up for the majority of the 2019 season but did see action in one game.
