Georgia offensive lineman Nyier Daniels was arrested on November 23 in Jackson County, Ga., facing a slew of charges. According to jail records, he’s charged with four felonies—including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and two counts of second-degree cruelty to children—and multiple misdemeanor traffic violations like reckless driving, speeding, and stop-sign infractions. He faces 10 additional traffic-related misdemeanors, including reckless driving and driving at maximum limits.
Daniels was still being held at the Jackson County Jail in Jefferson, Georgia, a jailer confirmed to ESPN Sunday.
"We are aware of the charges and are currently in the process of gathering additional information," UGA spokesperson Steven Drummond said in a statement. "This is a pending legal matter, and we will not have further comment at this time."
