Check out Russian strongman Mikhail Shivlyakov’s nose erupted with blood as he attempts to deadlift 939 pounds during the 2018 Arnold Sports Festival this past weekend...

Hafthor Bjornsson, aka “The Mountain” from “Game Of Thrones,” completed a world-record deadlift of 1,040 pounds. Intense stuff.

He had to bounce it up, not a clean lift.

That amount, I'm not sure. There are some that get nose bleeds easier than others. Just really dry nasal cavity. A lot of smelling salts over a long time can help this. With your blood pressure being that high also can make it erupt. I've never seen one this intense though. Looks awesome.

No. What happens is you rapidly and immensely increase something called preload through a variety of mechanisms. Essentially you push all your blood into central circulation very rapidly. You can actually vagal out from this, even worse. It’s not a great health practice.

It increases afterload, not preload.
