Florida Hires Former Alabama DB As Gators New Co-DC & Safeties Coach

Florida head coach Billy Napier officially announced the hiring of Vinnie Sunseri as the Gators' new Co-Defensive coordinator and Safeties Coach.
Sunseri played defensive back at Alabama from 2011-2013 and played three seasons in the NFL with the Saints, Patriots, and 49ers.
Sunseri spent last season at Washington where he coaches safeties. Before that, he was the running back coach with the New England Patriots from 2021-2023. Per Florida Gators:

"Vinnie Sunseri has a great pedigree coming from a football family and has also played and coached for exceptional coaches throughout his career," Napier remarked. "He is a two-time national champion with NFL and collegiate experience. Vinnie will help our organization improve as we continue to build.
