Monday wasn't a great day for Arkansas coach Sam Pittman.

The week started off with four-star offensive lineman Carius Curne announcing his de-commitment from the Razorbacks. The two-way lineman from Marion, Ark., is the No. 1 player in Arkansas for the class of 2025.

Later in the evening, four-star running back Jamarion Parker from Saint Louis, Mo., also decommitted from Arkansas.

The departure of Curne and Parker leaves the Razorback with three verbal commitments for the class of 2025.

If the brass at the university cared they wouldn't have hired a 60ish lifelong position coach to be the head coach.

Arkansas could have hired anyone with previous head coaching experience.

The job was and still is in bad shape but still good enough to get a head coach from the lower Division 1 levels.

That 9-4 year was a fluke and not the real Sam Pittman. Any decent head coach with good work ethic could have done the same.

Arkansas is worse off now during this NIL era than before.
