ESPN's Chris Low is reporting that veteran defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is joining Alabama's staff as new defensive coordinator under Nick Saban.

This will be Steele's third time on Saban's staff at Alabama, as he was the Crimson Tide's defensive coordinator in 2007 and linebacker coach in 2014.

He spend last season as the DC at Miami.

Bama hiring an Auburn retread? How pathetic is that?

I will not be surprised of Alabama beat LSU this season. I am not making this up to get attention. I see a huge improvement because Nick Saban is running the football team not the DC and /or the OC.

Bro did you forget the clown moves your Auburn administration made when they hired Alan Green as AD and then Brian Harsin as head coach? Funny how Steele is now a retread, but every Auburn fan I know wanted to hire him instead of Harsin. You went and hired Hugh Freeze simply because he beat Bama twice.. Doesn't matter who you hire or what you do you will always be the red headed step child in the state
