Multiple sources are reporting that Alabama has added former Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley to the coaching staff as an offensive analyst. Per AL.com:
quote:

The 46-year old Locksley is widely recognized as one of the top recruiters in the country.

He had been at Maryland since 2012 as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Prior to his time at Maryland, Locksley was the head coach from 2009-2011.

"Prior to his time at Maryland, Locksley was the head coach from 2009-2011." He was the head coach at New Mexico* from 09-11 This really helps Alabama's efforts around the DMV area, as Lock is from DC. As if they needed more help in around the DMV. Cyrus Jones, the kouandjio brothers, Richie Pettibon, the stud DL this year, etc However, Bama just lost a defensive analyst to Maryland as their new DB coach, he was a former high school coach in DC. UMD has really made several great additions to Durkins new staff this off season

Being from MD, I watched some terps football games this year. Mike Locklsey was absolutely horrible when he stepped in as interim coach. Locksley is a decent recruiter who is a terrible coach

Isn't there a limit on how many coaches can be hired?
