Isn't Lambert a 5th year Sr? Don't think you'll get him starting next season...

So no way Richt would let a rookie start huh? I think next year is gonna be the Eason show.

Lambert was a starting QB and team Captain in the ACC last season. Eason is QB in an all white private high school league playing against 14-18 year olds this season.....

Excellent analysis!!.

I swear. Boiled egg fart vapors are consuming the GSB from all angles. It's hard to watch.

Did not see this coming. Thought it was Ramsey all the way.

Good for Lambert and good for Richt making the tough call over two players who might have felt entitled to their shot.

Hey - best player should get the start. Period. If the coaches think it's Lambert, more power to him.

Lambert played a hell of a game against FSU last season. Even though I wanted Ramsey, I trust coach schotty to make the right decision. But it sounds like Richt was favoring Ramsey and this competition is far from over

so what did Chris call you out for?

Viewing this place on desktop is a game changer. The mobile version on a tablet is the way to go though.

I think if it was/is as close of a race as Richt has said he would show loyalty to the kid he recruited and who has been in the program the longest.
The fact that he named Lambert the starter after being on campus for six weeks says something about GL.

Don't quite recall. I think it was just one of his many obnoxious drunken rants he graced this place with on a regular basis.

Also says something about BR and FB, unfortunately for them.

We might want to have a moment of silence for their shattered hopes and dreams, and I'm not even kidding. Tough moment for those two.

Hope they stick it out and keep at it. The future is always a huge unknown, and with a game like football ... ya just never know.

Best case scenario is Lambert shines this year, starts again next year, Eason redshirts

there is no best case scenario where eason redshirts. if he is as good as we think he is (which would be a best case scenario), then he's gone in 3 years. you don't waste one of those years on a redshirt.

Pardon my ignorance, that's a thing? He's got 2 years of eligibility at UGA? All along I thought he only had one?

You hear it said a lot that Squattin-heimer was hired because his philosophy fits with RIcht's. And you also hear it said a lot, that Squattin-heimer isn't going to change things much. That he may refer to things by different terminology, but that it's a very similiar system to Bobo's.

Fast forward................

Dateline: AUgust, 31st, 2015

If Bobo was still here instead of Squat, Lambert would most likely be enrolled at florida, and Ramsey would probably be our starting QB.

This is huge and bold move. All thanks to Coach Squattin-heimer.

Times are changing. And it's actually hard to predict what Richt will do for once....

This is fricking awesome, man.

How about this? Lambert exceeds ALL expectations. Leads us to the SECCG, maybe even a title if we're feelin frisky all while throwing 3,500 yards/30 tds/ 10 int's and comes back for another year. Yea, redshirt Eason. That's a great scenario.

Interesting and you may be right. Will be interesting now to see how Lambert deals with it.

It will be a truly amazing QB shite storm if Lambert stumbles. I honestly think he'll do great, though, and am very much looking forward to watching him work the team down the field.

I was listening to the Sirius today and ole Coach Rick Nueisle said Lambert was slinging it the day he was allowed to observe practice. He also said it looked like he had a very good grasp of the play book and now this. Go Dawgs

Honestly, that highlight reel doesn't make me feel too good.

Alot of those throws are pretty bad..... they should be on the receivers' highlight reel.
