IF Golson sets foot on campus, it tells you all we need to know bout how the coaches feel about our current QBs.

I really don't see Richt making him starter as soon as he got here. It's clear we need someone to step up there, but Golson will have to earn it. It might say we don't have much confidence in who we got, but did you really expect us to?
Richt's not handing the job to anyone. Period.

From another poster...

No way Georgia even entertains the notion of Everett Golson if Brice Ramsey had already locked up the starting quarterback job and put the thing to bed.
Here's the deal. If Schotty was completely sold on the quarterbacks we have currently at UGA, Georgia might already have a statement out as of this morning saying something like, "We appreciate Everett Goulson's interest in the University of Georgia but we are full at the quarterback position and will not be exploring his transfer", something like that. The door would be shut and partially because if Ramsey had secured the job, they wouldn't want an ongoing situation that might affect Brice's confidence.
Since UGA hasn't said a peep, that tells me there's some legitimate interest because Schotty isn't madly in love with the 3 guys that are here.
I don't really see any other way to take all of this news but the whole thing is fluid.

From what I've seen, since he had disciplinary issues at his former school, the only way to get into an SEC school would involve being granted a waiver by the SEC which isn't easy to get. The more I read abotu this, the less I think anythign comes of it. I think it'd be awesome, but I've pretty much accepted the fact it's not happening.

Yup... but we can talk about it till reality rears it's ugly head.

This "situation" reminds me a lot of Kirby Smart rumors 1 and 2. It was all speculation in the end and nothing really came of it. It was fun to talk about but never really had founded merit until someone actually made a statement or in Pruitt's case, was hired.
I will just sit back, enjoy the ride, and welcome him with open arms if it happens.
IF he visits, it could get interesting.

Jake Rowe's take.... Not VIP...

- I believe his interest in UGA is much greater than the other way around right now. Does that mean UGA isn't interested? Not at all, but I said it yesterday and I'll say it today. I feel like most of the chatter right now is coming from Golson's side of things. That's based on what I've been told and reading the tea leaves. Things could pick up on UGA's end right now.

- If I have to make a prediction as of today as to whether or not this goes down and he ends up at UGA, I'd say no. I'd put a decent amount of money against it. A lot of things don't line up here in terms of scheme fit, the SEC bylaw, etc. That isn't to say he couldn't be successful, just means there are factors working against it.

His dissatisfaction may be a product of working with NFL quarterbacks for the last however many years. Or it may because Brice sucks a bag full of dicks and the other two are just there to carry the bags. We won't know until the season starts and J-Park trots out under center.

In his limited action he has looked exactly like most freshman look. Has a very lively arm, occasionally makes good decisions and then follows that up with throwing into triple coverage and intercepted. I think thats about what we can expect from our QB play this year. Inconsistent as hell so lean on the run game.

Jake with a conservative answer and I agree with pretty much all of his thoughts. But until he enrolls elsewhere I am totally going to act like it is happening. Just like Ron Paul.

He can't visit until Notre Dame releases him. That's illegal contact.

Gatorhata9, how would you feel in Georgia brought in Jeff Driskell?
If he wasn't such a steaming pile of shite and was actually someone who could help us win, no issues whatsoever.
