Well there it is

Well there it is.... EVERYWHERE. They are hated anywhere outside the Chicago and New York markets because they think they are ordained by God to be #1.

People look only to the bad and that was the 2nd half of last season. He has a body of work of playing damn well against good teams. And people forget that their defense was injured to the point of complete ineptitude toward the end of the year. He was expected to not only account for their defense giving up scores every drive but also to be their run and passing offense. They had no real established run game and he was expected to do it all.

UGA would not need him to carry the offense. Only complement it and he could do that. I think he'd do it very effectively.

At least there's a reason for the Eason hype. The guy is the #1 overall player in America who has every conceivable tool you would want in a QB for this offense. He's big, has a huge arm, and is smart as shite at reading defenses. He's about as close to a "sure thing" you can get at THIS juncture of his life/career.

Ramsey was a low 4 star (for reference, rivals had him at a 5.8, where a 5.7 is a 3 star) who was the 14th ranked player at his position and the 22nd best player in his own state. On top of that, he played in a HS system that was not even close to what we run at UGA.

Anyone who has kept up with your fanhood knows you love him so much because of where you're from, but any rational thinking person would realize that Eason is getting all the hype he is for a damn good reason. And after both of their careers are over, Eason will have been the much, MUCH better QB.

I like Sth. You're one of my favorite posters, dude. But I think that your Ramsey bias is on par with the hype that Eason has and, honestly, I think most can see why Eason is the heir apparent and that Ramsey is still raw as frick. We have been waiting for that dude to turn the corner and I am not sure he is going to. I think Eason has a way better chance to the point that I am hesitant to write this because it is so much more likely.

from the SECR

247 is reporting this morning that SC is sending an an inquiry to the SEC offices to ask if a Golson transfer to SC would be allowed (basically get a waiver to the Grad Transfer Bylaw.)

Hope he doesn't end up at SC. Spurrier is very good at tweaking his offense to fit his QBs strengths. He would instantly make them a better team.

From another poster on 247...

quote:

Until someone can explain how Golson gets around SEC Bylaw 14.1.15.1(d), I think this is all an academic discussion.

I know he can apply for a waiver, but I just don't see that happening. I'm pretty cynical, but I can't see the SEC turning a blind eye to a regulation they adopted less than a year ago (apparently the rule was adopted as of May 30, 2014) to make an exception for Golson. His previous suspension for cheating clearly violates that regulation - it's pretty black and white.

I will admit my bias...I own it...not denying...but...some of ya'll said the same shite about Park and he is there...and not going to start...cause HE is raw as frick and showed it in spring camp...as Eason will be...period...those guys are talented as frick...im not taking away from them.....but I have not forgotten who are coach is...how he runs his program...etc.....those guys WILL be greats...but not yet...that's my biggest point...and it is what I have said all along...

maybe...but he won't start as soon as he gets on campus....to read this board you would think he has the possibility of impregnating all of the hot coeds in the Athens-Clarke area just with his presence or something...

Link? Nobody has ever, even by accident, confused park for the #1 overall player in America and our heir apparent at QB. By all accounts, Eason could end up being one of the best if not the best QBs we've ever had. I've never heard anyone say that about park.
