There's no way they lose to Kansas State, West Virginia, or Kansas

While I disagree with the entire OP and it's a textbook case of not freaking out after one week. I will say this is still a crucial time for A&M (Sumlin technically) with texas tripping over themselves for the last few years and possibly another year or two, having some really good seasons would help cement our recruiting prowess in the state.

I do agree with whoever made the comment about Texas recruiting itself and recruits looking for any excuse to go there. They grew up during a time when Texas was very good, the only way we can reverse that is having a period of sustained success ourselces. You aren't going to flip a recruiting power in the state overnight, or a year or two for that matter.

All that to say, just win baby. I'm not happy with these second half collapses, I really hope we don't look back in a few years as a missed opportunity when Texas was down for 4-6 years and now they are back and we don't get half the recruits we want anymore.

This is a valid concern imo. Especially with the the 2016/2017 classes. Ours have been acceptable, but they had/have the potential for so much more.

Say what you want about Notre Dame being overrated, this was a signature win for Texas.
