To answer the OP's original question.

UF won't play them because they know the will lose.

I believe that UF should alternate between FSucks, scUM and UCF on a 2 year basis. They would give them all a chance to play the flagship university of the state and make a little money by Gator fans filling up their usually, half empty stadiums. This would also free up UF to play some out of state power 5 teams. Thanks for your concern.

So no schedule compare?

I guess the question is why don't you play them every year?

You must be joking.

Miami and FSU are both UFs big brothers.

Then why does UT continue to play the Gators? We haven't lost to Miami 11 straight years like the Vo11s have to the Gators.

Lol. In what way? We have more championships in all sports than they have combined.

Using your parameters, UT is UT-Martin's little brother.

And Tennessee is Florida's little bitchy sister. 11 straight, 12 is just a few months away. Enjoy the off season, in Sept. you have to play the games and stop talking sheet.

Damn Florida can't get any Cree. It was last year everyone was bitching because they never left Florida. Now you want them to schedule more games in Florida?

UT did play one of the CFP teams this season so not sure where you 're going with that.

On UF-UM you younger folks have to remember that Miami was a glorified 1AA program for pretty much its history. Now, Florida was no juggernaught either and FSU football didnt start until the 40' or 50's but UF was the state school despite not having much success. In 1978 there was a vote to even continue to University of Miami program. Florida saw it as a win which they didn't get many of. Same reason UF played FSU. Pretty much a win and UF needed one. It wasn't much thought of until the "Gator Flop" and you can research that incident via google.

In 1979 Schnellenberger went to Miami and pretty much let whoever could run and jump come to Miami without regard to academic or criminal record standing. That elevated Miami to elite status even tough Howard sold the Canes soul to do it. UF was having its own situations with the NCAA in the 80's and Miami had built a powerhouse and FSU was coming along nicely. Due to Florida struggling already to get above 8-4 seasons, also the NCAA was all over Gainseville and they just didn't need the added pressure of a top 5 Miami program on the schedule with the UF program basically in turmoil. Remember, FSU didn't break through until 1987 so it was more "prudent" to keep them on the schedule where Miami had gotten to be a loss on the schedule in the early 80's which coincided with the NCAA taking residence up in Gainseville. Remember something else, even when Spurrier took over UF they were actually on probation his first season. UF just frankly didn't need the problem of playing Miami when they were having a boatload of issues at the swamp.

Maybe i worded my question wrong

I asked who UT schedules as their OOC every yr? We play FSU yearly. Now they want us to play Miami yearly as well.

Who does UT play yearly OOC ???

Once again UT fans feel the need to live on other teams coat tails since they cant beat UF. And thats all it is

Serious question for UF Fans.

Why is it that Foley has completely steered clear of quality Out Of Conference football opponents during his tenure? Is it solely because FSU is on your slate every year?

When is the last time Florida has been the visitor at a halfway decent OOC venue excluding the Orange Bowl?
