If the Georgia game went to home and home it could be done much more easily. That's the reason Miami and UF couldn't keep the rivalry going.

I'm not sure making the WLOCP home and home would change much as far as bringing it back annually.

When we played Miami we only had 6 SEC games. There was a lot more flexibility and the schedule wasn't nearly as daunting. Unless other schools scheduled similarly I can't see us making our schedule that much more difficult.

Why would they want to? Iowa played a weak schedule and had they beaten Michigan State in the championship game, they would have been in the playoff. I think Richt will do fairly well at Miami so why would Florida risk a loss with another tough OOC game and risk potential playoff spot?

It's about money. We have it, they don't. There's no reason for us to give them one game every other year where they can get more than 10,000 fans in the stadium.

They did play the 2nd best team in Tennessee this year in Bowling Green. Their no Memphis, but at least their decent.

In 2017 Florida opens the season with Michigan and ends it with Florida State. The next time an SEC opponent schedules two opponents like that, they can talk

Foley has addressed this ad nauseum due to fan questions - so my answer is just based on what I've heard him say - and he's always said that due to WLOCP, having a minimum number of home games each year is a necessity for the budget. If Miami is home and home or neutral site, that requirement can't be met.

From time to time Miami says they want to renew the rivalry. Of course, they rarely say a word when UF is doing well.

We always schedule one power 5 ooc team...not patsies either....just finished home and homes with Oregon and Oklahoma. Now get Va Tech.

Like I said...Gators are soft. Dobbs and Hurd are going in dry next year.
