I'm in one of the most beautiful places in America, so possibly unqualified to decide which is equal or better considering the offerings. I'd avoid visiting any of these locations much less living there.
I was raised in TX, Lubbock has that going for it. Unless a lot has changed in 5-7 years I look at CStation on the same level, Lubbock getting the tie breaker simply because I don't relate to the A&M crowd very well, especially when they figure out my ties.
Auburn I can see the argument for, but nominal... end of the day nothing to get excited about unless you have ties to the area. Oxford pretty much the same.
Starkville? I thought we could all assume that held the basement down all by itself.
Pretty much a "to each their own situation", but to me they are tiny cities/towns in the middle of no where with below average scenery, dining, entertainment and arts offerings. I see the value of raising kids in smaller areas, but I think we are talking about a 3-4 day weekend trip.
Tell me something I'm missing, but Starkville has to be on the list of worst college towns to visit. I've been to my fair share of campuses over the years with immediate family ties (parents/siblings, wife, kids) attending B12, SEC, PAC12 and B10 schools).
Hit up Boulder, Denver and Rocky Mtn National Park for a long game weekend & maybe my spiel makes more sense.

That's a friendly sanitized version of what happened.
He was actually at a dinner with recruits and when he got the call from Cincy he just got up and left without telling anyone he was even leaving the dinner.

Guess what? You won't. Fabrication and victim role in full effect as A&M AD tweets out:
"Someone vandalized our buses in Lubbock. Excrement inside and outside of buses plus spray painted vulgarities on outside. Classy."
Contrary to what the victim card yielding drama queen wants you to believe it turns out that:
- A&M officials never saw the "vandalism". Minor clean up by hotel staff and taken care of without anyone knowing til after the game.
-Tech logo on the door, "wreck 'em Tech" and "Revile is a bitch" on one buses windows.. in shoe polish.
-no shyt or manure... fish bait, less than 8oz was put under the seat in one bus.
but hey, never let facts get in the way of a good story.
Aggy: just like the girl who goes on and on about her ex that treated her poorly, all her friends hated him, took advantage of her and ruined her life for almost a year.
You meet the dude and find out they had one date that ended shortly and he never followed up on his promise to call her back.

the point was that I'm a Longhorn and not someone that does real well with the male yell leaders, cow pasture golf courses, choice of Olive Garden for a big nite out or showing pictures of a late model pickup plastered in A&M stickers with a 2'x4' SEC logo in the back window, like it's a classic model luxury roadster.
Maybe a strip club that has a liquor license and dancers with all their teeth and no skoal stains? Carpet in the club goes a long ways too.
Big difference between snobby and having some baseline "life standards". But hey, you think Lubbock is a shyt hole. I get it.
