Starkville >>>> Lubbock

Starkville women aren't a bunch of cheap ho's.

The MSU fans are nice and welcome you to Mississippi instead of throwing shite at you.

Starkville has better bars and such. And Lil Douie's barbaque is good for post game.

Moving to the SEC was a monumental upgrade in terms of quality of road trips.

If there are any worse I've never met them or heard of them.

Aggies, tell me about the Texas Tech faithful.

People are making fun of dust storms and completely missing the point. Lubbock citizens are insane, and not in a good way. '75 road trip we stopped in a McDonald's for pre-game meal (shut up, we were poor college students). A woman in her 60's-70's stood up on her table in McDonald's jabbing her witch finger at us and spewing, "You GO TO HELL, Aggies! Get the hell out of here!" on an endless loop. She was one of the friendly ones. eATMe T-shirts were very popular at the game. Had a skinny kid tell us he had always wondered what it would be like to kick 6 guys' asses at once, because he knew karate and that's of course what they teach in karate. "Aggies Suck!" the entire weekend at the game and everywhere else. '77 was about like that, too. As far as I could tell the entire city was completely eaten up with it. I've never been back and will never go back.

Dr. Levitan, engineering professor at LSU, asked my sister's class once "anybody ever have the pleasure of finding themselves in Lubbock, Texas? Consider yourselves lucky if you haven't. And consider a letter of resignation if your job sends you there."

Yeah. Seems 90% of Big 12 towns are awful. Most kids grow up wanting to play in The Swamp, Tiger Stadium, Between the Hedges not Ames or Waco.

Difference between being a destination or a podunk town that happens to have a college with a Big 12 affiliation I guess.

The only redeeming feature of College Station is that it's only 87 miles from Waco, only 87 miles from Austin, and only 87 miles from Houston

I'm just glad we have someone in this thread to teach us about the finer things. Sort of a post-graduate cotillion.

Thanks OldSchoolHorn!
