I'd add 2009 Florida team.

HC or OC? Seriously, I thought they lost because of no offensive plan that varied from November game.

The Top 10 Best SEC Football Teams to NEVER win a National Championship?
quote:
LSU beat 8 top 25 teams in 2011, including #2 alabama AT HOME..#2 arkansas..#3 oregon at nuetral site..and an arse beating vs UGA in SECCG in Atlanta.
F*ck Choklahoma St.
And then got their asses plowed in the NCG. Sorry, but that loss was so pathetic that it negates almost everything.
Wow. So beating three Top 3 teams and outscoring 8 top 25 teams 500-123, winning the SEC title, going 13-0 and being ranked #1 most of the year like..........
NEVER HAPPENED ?????????????????
Being ranked #2 in the final polls doesn't count for ANYTHING ?????????????????????????????????
Also, at least we beat the 'national champions' on their home turf, earned the right to play in the SEC title game, and won our division and our conference. Alabama did ZERO of the above.
Shama got a "do-over" because of the media, a faction of monumentally out of touch biased human poll voters (OSU 6th ??????), and Saban's whining.
My question -
WHY THE frick EVEN PLAY AN SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME THAT YEAR
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

'66 Alabama
We were robbed.
We were robbed.

Even though they weren't SEC, 1992 and 1998 Texas A&M.

'77 Kentucky was pretty solid, but couldn't participate in the post-season because they were on probation. They went undefeated in the SEC and beat #4 Penn State at Penn State (24-20) and #17 West Virginia (28-13) in the OOC. Art Still was a badass.

82 Dawgs were good. Lost to PSU in Sugar. Finished 11-1. Herschel's Heisman year

surprised 2006 LSU hasn't been mentioned. That team really had no business losing any games that season. The talent across the board on that team was absurd.

97, 99, 01 Tennessee was fricking loaded.
I honestly feel 01 Tennessee had just as much talent to match the U in the Rose Bowl, but Chavis couldn't figure out the freaking QB draw against Mauck.

2007 UGA, not the 2012 UGA squad, is the correct answer.
2007 UGA would've beaten LSU in the SECCG by 17+.
'07 UGA lost to a shite USC team at home and was held out of the endzone.
That team gets too much credit and it should be obvious now considering how 2008 went for UGA

Carolina not mentioned much in this thread. I guess it's cause y'all are relative new comers to the conference in the grand scheme of things.

Their 84 team was #2 and 9-0 before losing to Navy.
