I'm just busting balls.
I was pretty sure y'all would, simply because that is where our weakness is on defense.

In Herbi's defense, I don't think the SEC defenses are as good as they've been in the past. I wouldn't be that surprised if the SEC losses to a team like oregon.

LSU alum. I was just being coy. I was an Auburn fan for much of the offseason though.

Of course Oregon can compete in the sec. The other teams in the sec can compete in the sec also. I also fail to see what Oregon dropping a 50 spot on Tenn has to do with the rest of the sec. South Carolina didn't play Oregon though I would pay to see that.

There's 4-6 teams that could beat Oregon in the SEC.

There's 3-4 that would almost definitely beat them.

Is there ANYONE that thought Tennessee was one of those????

You literally lost like Pep, Nevis and Sheppard from your contributors in 2010 on the defensive side of the ball.

uh and Patrick Peterson, remember him? Mingo was an unproven sophomore, Montgomery was coming off a torn ACL the year before, and Jai Eugene. Couple that with Jordan Jefferson, the starting quarterback, being suspended a week before the game, Replacing Ridley at starting RB, and having basically one wide receiver worth a shite (Randle). Yeah, LSU basically returned everyone.

The Oregon oline is built for the second level. I don't remember so many linebackers getting mowed over as I have seen in the last two games.

I think Oregon makes it to BCS CG this year. Hopefully not against tOSU or Louisville though.

Your attrition from 2010 to 11 was much less severe. I said front seven so PP7 wasn't included.

Oregon looks like the real deal this year. I have no doubt they would be competitive against the SEC elite.

It is also nice to see some pro-style teams emerge in the Pac-12 to challenge them. I don't see UCLA pulling off the upset unless the defense improves, but the Stanford game tells you all you need to know about Oregon IMO. It is as close to the SEC elite as you'll get this year outside of the NCG. If Oregon runs the table, I have no issue with them in the NCG.

Oregon likelihood of beating SEC teams in this order:

1. Tenn (obviously)
2. 'Tucky
3. Missouri
4. Arky
5. Auburn
6. Vandy
7. MSU
8. Ole Miss
9. A&M
10. LSU
11. USCe
12. UF
13. UGA
14. Bama

Would likely beat 1-7. Would have trouble with 8-11. Would probably lose to UF. Would def lose to 13-14.

Oregon is at worst 7-7 v. the entire SEC, at best 12-2. They can compete. Anybody saying otherwise is too proud and stupid to think clearly.

For the life of me, name just ONE? Outside of Bama there is no team!

Can someone tell me what do Scam Newton ( 2010 ) or LSU of ( 2011) has to do with this team of 2013?

So many idiots on here can't see that Scam is gone! LSU of 2011 is gone. LSU or Auburn can no longer make a simple BCS bowl game. I witness LSU getting blown 21 to Zero in the Natty. I witness them get arse whipped by Clemson in the shite bowl last year. This is what you call elite?

I witness Clemson pimp slap UGA three weeks ago. I witness Louisville beat up on Florida in the BCS. I witness Miami destroy Florida two weeks ago. So this is your Top Tier that you are referring to? Clemson is running the SEC from what I witness. Ask LSU.

Honestly that fan is exactly right. You should be a fan of your team, not your conference. I know the SEC is the best conference, but I don't have any reason to take "pride" in that. Georgia is my team. It's like me knowing that gravity exists. It's undeniable, but I don't have "pride" in gravity, it's just a fact.

They don't. People assume this is the same old smoke and mirrors Oregon. They may be the best team in the country this year.

This is oregon's best and most talented defense , ever. It's not close either

Clemson arse whipped LSU? Ok.

The thing that annoys me most about Oregon fans is that through your duck lenses, only your team improves. All other teams only experience fluctuations or get worse. But with Oregon it is a continuous teleological march to perfection. And yet, when it counts, you always come up short. Nice win against Tennessee though. They'll be back one day, I'm continuously assured by Bama fans.
