This team is better than the 2010 which was better than the 2011 team that played LSU. The team that played LSU was replacing 3 olinemen and 5/7 in the front seven. It may have been the 2nd weakest point in Kelly's tenure after replacing all 5 olinemen for the BSU game.

This is the kind of shite that won't garner you respect but is what I've come to know as typical Oregon fan since the leadup to our game. You were coming off a national championship and were returning the key leaders from that team at the key positions. Replacing 3 O-linemen is typical turnaround. All I heard leading up to that game was how much bigger and physical your front 7 would be from the year before because of Kelly recruiting better.

We faced Oregon at what is the historical peak of their program and coming off a NCG with a returning qb, a Heisman candidate RB and returning wide receivers. We had shite at qb and turmoil surrounding that position.

No more excuses.

We are Alabama we don't share wins, losses, championships or accolades with anyone. The SEC cheer is for Georgia and South Carolina fans.

False. The only returning starters on the DL were Sam Montgomery (coming off injury) and Ken Adams. And only 2 of our top 5 DTs had seen any action at all.

The linebacker numbers are similarly wrong.

You literally lost like Pep, Nevis and Sheppard from your contributors in 2010 on the defensive side of the ball.

Oregon lost one of their biggest senior classes in history.

Most people said that Pep was a "in name only" starter.

I think he said something like if all 14 SEC teams want to take credit for winning national titles, they also all need to take the loss when a team like Tenn. gets blown out

Then maybe when the rest of the country beats a lower-tiered SEC team, they shouldn't make the "But hey we beat a SEC team!11!!11" claim like both Oregon and Louisville will do this season. That road goes both ways.

You really are a sensitive bunch.

We lost and I saw it coming. I came here and said LSU was going to win. You guys just want to be lathered in praise too much.

THEY S'POSED TO BE SEC!!!

It was like when Oregon fans were chanting "SEC" while kicking our asses last weekend. Oh, wow, the #2 team in the country is whooping up on an outmanned, outclassed Tennessee team that will be lucky to finish at .500.

I can think of a handful of times that it's been used here recently just with Kentucky. Kent State, despite losing to us, lost to a "SEC team" and damn near made a BCS bowl that way. You better believe by season's end Louisville will be using the Kentucky win in any way they can to bolster that schedule by saying they "beat a SEC team". They certainly ramble on about how they beat two in the last calendar year and that's what they're hype has been built on.

And of course there's WKU the last two seasons. Especially with Petrino at the helm now.

I don't mind saying that maybe the SEC isn't as strong from top to bottom as it was, but for all the bitching non-SEC fans and schools do about the "hype" they certainly use that shite to their advantage when it suits them.

Oregon has handled their last two BCS opponents.

Funny you say that, because so has OSU, and one of them was the Ducks ironically enough

It's not really even a fair statement to you either. You beat one of the most talented teams ever in the NCG. Likewise, you handled Arkansas with walk on dbs.

You're right. We are sensitive. We should just accept that we lost to the worst Oregon team in the modern era. DT and LMJ and those receivers had little to do with that NCG run.

Wait, before we do this, is this going to be a legit Oregon team or do we need to wait until they have 5th year seniors who were 5 star recruits lined up at every position?

The crystal ball is the crystal ball.

I call bs on this. If Oregon or anyone for that matter were to win a crystal ball NOT against an SEC school, that school title would be invalid in the eyes of SEC fans. Da SEC is the standard in football and until someone beats them in a title game they will get no credit. I can see it now as sec fans belittle the winner. You aint play the best, the sec played its way out of the national title game, you only won because xxxx aint there, there are 8 sec teams that could beat both schools and so forth.

Crystal might be crystal but it aint no true champion til you beat the Sec. Am I right?

Take for example this post where you sarcastically disparage Oregon wins in the bcs bowl games against teams not in da sec.

Wisconsin and K-State? Really impressive.

K state and oregon nearly played in the title game last year had they won on the 13th week last year. Would you still say crystal is crystal or be dismissive of their win over k state seeing how its not against an sec team?

The duck has a point. If he or any other team wants real recognition, beat an sec team in the title game. Am I right?

In all honesty though, wouldn't you rather it be against an SEC team? Wouldn't it be more fulfilling?

Don't worry our non-prototypical OL and small rbs aren't up to the challenge.
