So any decent team would put up around 60 pts on Tennessee?
It's not saying that Oregon isn't good, but their style of play exploits every single one of our glaring weaknesses. They were a nightmare matchup, as Arkansas was in 2011.

When was the last time Oregon beat an SEC team that wasn't named Tennessee?

There was 0% we would've won this game. The spread was nearly 30 points.
No matter what the out come of this game is, you can't seriously say Tennessee is an SEC caliber team. As I mention, we're playing 5 walk ons, we have zero depth anywhere. The only SEC quality area of our team is OL. That is it.
Oregon has looked great so far, but they haven't been tested one bit. We'll learn more about them after they play Stanford and UCLA.

keep banging that spoon on the high chair and demand that people respect you, get in line with TCU and Boise St.

When was the last time Oregon lost to an SEC team that another SEC team beat in the regular season?

Are you saying Oregon is "any decent team"?
As I mentioned before, Oregon has not been tested at all. Their QB has not had to make a single decision all year. We'll see how good he is when they face a real challenge with a good defense.

Also, they lost to a LSU team that went to the BCSCG. And Auburn beat them on a fluke play. Yall act like they lost to middle of the road SEC teams. Oregon would skull frick UF, UGA, Ole Miss & everybody else not named Bama.

Speculation.

Everything is speculation right now.
We are three games into the season.

Yeah, because everybody knew Jefferson and Lee would win 13 games in a row.

On this much we agree.
As I see it, UCLA and Stanford are the only teams that will certainly test Oregon between now and December. U-Dub could fire on all cylinders. Beavers defense is atrocious so that's a no. Hard to see the Ducks losing a regular season game. We shall see...

Exactly.
This is what I've noticed about Oregon.
I don't know about Nicholls St. or Virginia, but Oregon did not run the ball between the tackles on us. Every run was to the outside. If they were to play a team with a strong 3-4 defense, with line backers who can cover side line to side line, it would give their running game fits.
Also, every pass play Oregon's QB had one read. There hasn't been a situation were he has been forced to make a decision. As we all saw in the Tennessee game he's not a very good intermediate to long range passer. Yes, he passed for over 450 yards, but nearly all of them were 5-10 yard passes with the WR running for 40, 50, 60 yards after the catch.

Our interior run game will get better. De'Anthony isn't a between the tackles kid. Marshall at 210 pounds and Tyner at 218 will be the between the tackles kids. Likewise, our guard rotation is new. Hamani Stevens at right guard is a brute but just needs the reps. Grieg is our weak link and in my opinion is just biding time for someone behind him with more athleticism that needs the reps.
Likewise, you didn't see Lyerla in this game and he will get 5 carries a game at 250 pounds. You saw no double tight end sets and no H-Back sets. You saw a lot of 4 WR, which is the most I've seen in some time.

The only SEC teams we've played this and last decade were Miss st twice, Tenn twice, LSU, and Auburn. We are 4-2 with two losses to the undefeated conference champs...
your turn.
your turn.

I should have rephrased and thrown Miss St in there as well.
Anyways, you didn't play any SEC team from 1977 to 2002. But it would be 1977 with loses to UGA and LSU.
SEC is 6-4 overall.

I remember saying Oregon would go 4/5 wide against us, but you seemed certain they wouldn't.
LINK
By the way, 50% of those wins were against a team in middle of their worst decade in the history of their program.
In the time you've been us twice this has happened:
We've lost to Kentucky for the first time in 30 years.
We've lost to Vandy for the 2nd time in 30 years, by +30 points.
We've gone 18-22, and 5-19 in SEC play.
We haven't beaten a ranked opponent since Oct. of 2009.
And we've haven't been to a bowl game.
I'd say when you look at it like that, half of those wins versus SEC opponents aren't as glamorous.

Yes, I was wrong on that. I haven't seen us go 4/5 wide in awhile. I was actually surprised and eating my words at Autzen. I can actually admit when I am wrong.

Not really, no. The similarities pretty much begin and end with tempo and, to a much lesser extent, scheme. Oregon has weaker trench play, tends toward smaller and faster players, and runs a lot better than it passes (where TAMU is more of an air attack.) The comparisons are very superficial.
