quote:Once it gets into court, the NCAA is granted subpoena power. Does Hugh Freeze, and more importantly Ole Miss really want this? Especially after Ole Miss has already accepted many of the Level 1 allegations and acknowledged that "mistakes" were made?
This would be Freeze's lawsuit not Ole Miss'.
If the NCAA comes down hard , specifically on Freeze, what does he have to lose ? If Freeze
were to prevail in a lawsuit , the damages claimed
from a loss of his career could be quite substantial.
Once it gets into court the NCAA isn't judge and jury.

Who is spinning. There were 3 guys that signed initially and 2 were walk-ons. The question is did he do this for other kids in the program earlier or later....funny how you don't point that out. Nor do you point out the fact that this was clear delineated as self reported, that once identified the School approached him to stop and had the kids repay the expenses they knew about. But you have an agenda along with your State buddies to spin it into some rather complex scheme instead of a mistake.

How loose was it? I'm not arguing with you hoss. I will continue to watch you spin this entire ordeal as your program continues to crash and burn. Your school went 120 in a 70 and got caught. Your school has the most level one violations that a previous NCAA investigator has ever seen, and he said that on record. Your head coach was in a room with a recruit and a booster who was on Twitter trying to get kids to go to ole miss and your excuse is "Freeze didn't know he was a booster". I'm not arguing with someone that ignorant. Just remember, some people have been telling you this was coming for a long time. Do whatever you have to do to cope with it.

In the wide scheme of things, Walter Hughes involvement is a drop in the bucket relative to the NOA and the amended NOA.
The NCAA has/had an agenda, if they choose to throw OM a bone and scrap the allegations for Hughes impermissible activities then there's still a mountain of allegations left on the table with which they will hammer Ole Miss.

O woe is me. We made a mistake.

Sounds like there's a pretty strong rumor OM just received a 3rd NOA.

They've only received 1 NOA (2016) + an Amendment (2017).

I've also heard that there will be more coming out tomorrow. Of course with the draft this weekend we all know anything can be admitted to on national television.

Well if Ole Miss forces Freeze out, what does Freeze have to lose ? His coaching career would
be over. Unless Ole Miss and Freeze reach an
agreement that Freeze goes quietly, my guess is
Freeze goes to court. At that point the NCAA
probably has more to lose than Freeze. Ole Miss
will just be collateral damage.

Freeze goes to court for what? i didn't realize he broke the law... otherwise he has no grounds to stand on because his contract is going to be contingent on him following NCAA rules. its not rocket science... its called not being a dumfuk 101.

quote:Exactly! Freeze is under contract with OleMiss. Hell, he is in breach of his contract right now because he has a Failure to Monitor allegation pending with the NCAA and LOIC hangs over OM's head while under Freeze's watch.

I have to be up very early during this time of year, driving on average 5 hrs per day + working for 8+ hrs/day.
Making a shitload of money, but I'm getting burnt out.
