Then why was AJ crying after the win last season?

I don't think so. IF both teams are doing well, it's a big game. Outside of that...it's just another game.

It's a big game on the schedule. That's it ~ not a rivalry.

Right. I've seen IB's where one or both clubs were average but it didn't matter. Except last year...that was pretty disappointing.

It has been somewhat more intense the last two years.

why is this considered a rivalry game?

Because the two teams play against each other every year and compete for the same prize - the SECW spot in the SECCG.

ri·val·ry

Noun

Competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field.

So unless one team is trying to lose a game, every game ever played is a rivalry?

merriam-webstered...that's the basis for any great rivalry.

That makes all 14 teams rivals with each other.

So you're saying that LSU has a rivalry with every SEC team then? And moreover, every D1 college football team?

Turn them in for cheating, that will get the hate going and cement your rivalry status.

Good luck with your new rival, so glad for y'all.

The word rival is the dumbest thing in sports to me.

You look at which games are big and you get excited about them. That's it.

Maybe that is because Im an LSU fan, but I just don't understand the exxcitement about beating a 2-10 Tulane team, or a 3-9 Ole Miss team...
