Maybe. The problem with that is going to be the staff turnover.

Mullen is going to want to bring in his own coaches, so what happens with Petrino's guys? Petrino is going to want them to hire off the current staff for that very reason. So, do you tell him he doesn't get a say in who follows him?

I really have no clue who we would go after. Sometimes I would expect something like Patterson but then I look back at how tight they have been with the money and doing things backasswards (I know that was all D Evans, but still Adams can cause issues too). But one of the things in this thread that I chuckle at is some of the posters acting like there is no way we could hire a top 5 coach, and then in other threads all you read is UGA would be a powerhouse with the right coach and the SEC better hope they never make the homerun hire due to all the instate talent, etc
