wonder if there is a whitesportsonline.
The biggest question is if there is a gaysportsonline. If not, then I think it would be a good investment. GSPN? For baseball it could be theswitchhitter.com

No one talked or gave a shite. I am sure there were a few who had some gay slurs, as there are racial slurs, and hetrosexual slurs. "Hey were going to get a beer come with us, I cannot have to see my girlfriend. Pussy whipped" or " Do you want to go get something to eat or do you have to go to your gf's place to visit your balls that she has on her mantel"
There was not 100% approval but this generation does not believe it to be a big deal. Very open minded.
I am sure there were slurs going around for everyone to get some thrown their way. As it is in EVERY locker room in EVERY sport around the country.

Agree.
However that doesn't mean that those who disagreed used slurs. Just saying.
The slurs/ribbing will happen whether they agreed or not. Just part of esprit de corps

Ok. Then what do you think it is? Your wordplay could imply a great deal of things but if what you're trying to say is that he's defending his boyfriend that doesn't change a thing. No need to hide what you're trying to say or be clever about it.
I think a friend doesn't blabber on social media.

Yeah I was totally expecting a thoughtful insightful discussion about this on the rant.
Color me disappointed.

Waters is trying to exercise his 3 minutes of fame before being ignored by the NFL.

For some more insight into his his teammates felt, watch this short video of Max Copeland. He pretty much but the nail on the head, IMO.

Let's be real here. When there are 85 players on a team, every player--gay or not--is going to have some enemies--and I am sure Michael did, too....and they used his being gay, when they found out, as a way to try to turn others against him.
Also, does anybody think there is no racism on college football teams? Do you really think that the same racial issues that effect the larger society don't carry over on to football teams?
The point is, that, in the case of Sam's gayness, just as in the case of racial issues, players and coaches found and find ways to deal with each other and respect each other's dignity as part of a team.
You don't have to love everything about everybody you work with or play football with--and you are not going to, no matter who you are--but you should respect them enough not to make an issue of their race or sexual orientation when it really matters.
That's all this is about--and it seems the Mizzou coaches and players did that and deserve credit for it.

And, by the way, the guy who made the OP is obviously threatened by the idea that Sam was accepted....and fearful that he will be accepted in the NFL. Sad, but pretty obvious from his tone.

10 even 5 years ago that would've been true but social media has changed and morphed into a whole nother animal where anything and everything is discussed. Also, he was responding to posts already made on social media. The only thing he was blabbering about is the fact some people were making posts that were patently untrue and hypocritical. He wasn't attacking Mizzou or the team as a whole and he made that point clear (if you read all the tweets that's clear as day) just calling out the fact that some people were being hypocrites in their posts and sudden love for Sam.
