If bama wins that game, they likely win another NC. You're telling me 3 national titles in 3 years isn't going to affect recruiting? Idk if you know this, but teenage kids are highly impressionable.

So winning three more games, a conference title and a national title would help with recruiting? Yeah I agree with that. Does winning that game make a difference between kids on the fence? I don't think it does. Rarely, very rarely, does one game change a mind.

Now if Bama regresses as a program in general, sure it helps, but one game doesn't.

I don't believe one game changes recruiting either. Also, Hootie's decision on going to UA was made up well before this weekend's outcome [imo].

:sigh:

It likely doesn't affect kids making decisions this year, but the kid who dreams of playing high school and then college football that is watching Alabama win 3 national championships in a row is in his backyard with his friends pretending he's playing for Alabama. Sorry, but that's how it goes. I can't help you if you don't understand that.

Hell, look at the LSU sports flagship radio group today. They are preempting SVP to play Finebaum live (a show that plays later in the night) so that all of these LSU fans who are so giddy about this can cackle all throughout the day. Personally, I'd rather here the national sports takes than here a Iron Bowl reaction call in show based in another state.
--------------------------------------------------

Think that they'll find out on Finebaum that Hootie Jones spurned LSU and committed to Alabama today? Some of y'all (you included) understand the big picture, but unfortunately the majority don't.

Well the little picture is Bama losing on Saturday in heartbreaking fashion to their bitter rival and having to take a step down in their almighty entitled attitude. That'll have to be good enough for us I guess. I can worry about someone named Hootie down the road.

That was a great game. My interest in Alabama losing concerns Louisiana recruiting.

I am impressed that Auburn got better as their season progressed. No one is really riding Auburn's coat tails.

It was sarcasm. Pathetic is not being able to accept even one loss without trying to deflect it to LSU fans supposedly pulling for Auburn. It had zero to do with Auburn winning, it had everything to do with your team losing. Swallow some pride for once.

Believe me I think this is said too, but at least they can say it bumps up a notch in BCS standings.

I think this can be said for all fanbases in the SEC, ETA: but thanks, to you as well.

a conversation I had with my friend the 'Bama grad who's father played there back in the day

"Tough break about the game,___"
"You know Ron, I am not upset about losing to Auburn, I am upset about losing the national championship." (a game yet to be played)
"Well if that is all you're upset about, do you know what that tells me? That you've had a pretty good run and nothing to complain about."

(after a while) "Well I think you've got a point there Ron."

A Bama grad who was not upset about losing the Iron Bowl just upset about losing a chance at the MNC.

You are seeing more LSU people doing it because this site is the child of an LSU message board. As someone who now lives in MS, I have seen plenty of Ole Miss, MSU and USM fans making fun of the big bad evil empire on FB and Twitter.

P.S.-It's not so much "living through AU" as it is "maniacally laughing at gumps".

LSU fans are now on par with Ole Miss, MSU and USM fans in that they can no longer be happy over their victories but instead have to wait for their big bad brother to lose to someone else to have something to be happy about

And just like LSU, Ole Miss, MSU and USM fans, your fat arse will now be sitting at home for the SEC Championship game and the NC. Take a seat, kiddo.

Congrats on the 9 win season, what bowl do you think you will end up in? and when do you think your team will be able to beat Bama again?

bullshite arrogance like yours and your Bama buddies is why so many LSU fans are delirious with joy over your loss. Really not that hard to understand. Enjoy beating Northern Illinois in the BCS game.

I've got news for you pal. Pretty much every body outside of Western Alabama is happy about Bama losing. That's the price you pay for wearing that crown so cockily.
