you clearly don't understand anything about how ratings and markets work.

it was a very hot topic and 104.5/104.9 airing two hours of the finebaum show was a BRILLIANT move today.

If the BR market is more concerned with hearing callers talk about the Iron Bowl loss than say a Saints-Seahawks match-up, the rest of the NFL weekend, the FSU-OSU-SEC winner scenarios, etc, then my posts rings true

What's that? That I am more worried about LSU than the results of the Iron Bowl, unlike a lot of LSU fans? I don't get an obsession over one team losing. I hate all opponents equally. Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida-they are all just opponents in the way. It doesn't matter to me who among them wins games, just as long as LSU beats all of them, but I ask again : How does the outcome of the Iron Bowl help LSU this year?

No and if you read that way, it's likely you're disagreeing with me. As one Bama poster has already given me the bird, that program has been very lucky in it's run and wakes up everyday in a conference where they sit at the head of the table. They have no reason to ever bitch, about anything.

Dude, it wasn't just LSU fans. The entire nation was "riding AU's dick" hard on Saturday.

Honestly, I have never seen ANYTHING like it.

I got several texts from numbers I didn't recognize right after the game. I went out and partied all night and every national sirrus sports talk radio show was going on and on and celebrating the AU win. It was super biased.

Today about a dozen people came by my office telling me how happy they were, congrats, and how they were pulling for AU. There are no SEC fans or grads in my office either. ND, Michigan, FSU, Miami, NYS, FAU, UCF grads to name a few. EVERYONE of them was stoked and gushing about how great AU beating bama was today.

It wasn't just LSU fans. The entire country was in AU's corner and pulling hard for AU. Partly because AU was the underdog, mostly because Saban/Bama are pretty despised nationally.

I am more concerned with our program's lack of dominance in recruiting NELA kids today than something that LSU has nothing to do with.

Typical nega-Tiger thread.

I, for one, was thoroughly aggravated by the programming change. The Saints are playing in the biggest Monday Night game of the year, something I'm pumped about... and I have to fricking listen to Finebaum say his phone lines are broken. After about 10 minutes, I just swapped to some stale rock on the Eagle. And I was in traffic for about 2 hrs.

I'm not sure I get it either. Yeah, it's nice to see Bama fall, and maybe Auburn can put some pressure on them instate; but I was done with that by Sunday. As a Tiger fan, I'm more interested in how Jennings and Dural performed, who may stay their final season, and whether the defense turns the corner next season.

Re the whining about the title game, get over it. The only thing 7 straight BCS titles has earned anyone is 1st pick when the records are equal; and that's a given. This year, the records aren't even, Ohio St and Florida St are undefeated... and nobody from the SEC is. You can whine about schedule strength all you like, but the truth is, you gotta win your games. Georgia was at full strength when they lost at Clemson, a team Fla St went in and skull-fricked. As for Ohio St- is it the position that they are not eligible to play for the title, because they're in the B1G? Because they're undefeated. You can't ask any more of them. They went in and beat their rival on the road when a lot was on the line, something Bama wasn't able to do.

So if I was saying "wde" I'd be a sunshine pumper? I am very, very pro-Miles. I am tired of being pushed around by teams that run pro-style offenses. I think there is need to change our tactics in NELA-without going dirty(ier). I think the LSU fanbase should be more concerned with barely winning a game that LSU was favored by 3 touchdowns. I have concerns about both lineman groups getting pushed around and banged around-and I think Moffitt is a guy above criticism around BR. I like our young secondary pieces, not our old ones. Zach Mettenberger is one of my favorite Tigers to ever put on a uniform.

What I don't get is the apathetic section of the fanbase that seems to be more interested in other programs losing than LSU winning-once the national title is off the table. I ask again: What does the Iron Bowl do for LSU this year?

Are people in here actually upset that ESPNBR carried PFS today?

Nothing. Guilty pleasure. Sometimes people want others to see "how it feels". In this case, how it feels to lose in disappointing fashion with these kinds of stakes.

In 2007, the Arkansas dickriding from both Alabama and Auburn was palpable.

Not saying it's right or cool, but it is what it is.

Um, then you should be just as happy bama lost. I don't understand how people do not understand this. Bama losing is beneficial for LSU and everyone else in the conference frankly.

Well then, it shouldn't surprise you that we had two typical Les Miles games this year [OM & Ark].

It has nothing to do with LSU at all. I think you are focusing way too much on LSU fans being excited about UA losing. Everyone in the CFB universe was happen with Saturday nights outcome.

if you think one game determines a commitment by a young player, you don't really follow recruiting. Also, if that were the case, how did that work out this morning?

At least someone admits it to what is. This is the same of all the "Hook 'em Horns" shite heard during the USC-UT title game.

Some people just absolutely don't get it.

If bama wins that game, they likely win another NC. You're telling me 3 national titles in 3 years isn't going to affect recruiting? Idk if you know this, but teenage kids are highly impressionable.

I don't believe one game changes recruiting either. Also, Hootie's decision on going to UA was made up well before this weekend's outcome [imo].
