had bama won, i'd be living through them instead

typically how it works when you want both teams to lose a game in a heartbreaking fashion.

Sounds like Hootie has some insecurity issues and wanted to play with his Monroe friends.

Bama-you have a great run with a lot of luck and you're not even out of the picture yet. You live in a world where you essentially make the rules.

Yup, sure do. And I genuinely appreciate the Auburn fans who owned up to the fact that it wasn't really close.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but after loss #1 every season, LSU fans give up on their own team/season and start living through whatever team is the spoiler for whoever is the projected SECW champ.

Just like Bama is right now for certain conference title games this weekend.

It's not that they cared that much- it's that they bugged your phone, son.

Shouldn't we at least be talking about the Arky game?

Nobody cared about the Arky game before it was played.

Not a Finebum fan, but the show will probably provide some good laughs. I wouldn't change any programming to hear it, but oh well...

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being the knight in shining armor for all these grieving gumps. It was truly a kind gesture

Yet in this same thread a Bama fan is giving the me the bird. If I am knighting for them, that's sort of weird, huh?

I was rooting for bama anyway until about halfway through the game

goes to show you that I hate both teams

Also check my avi

even if AU gets in the NC, this avi is staying

Ron--

So I guess Bama will live vicariously through Mizzou this weekend? What's your point?

Have you forgotten how Bama used our success to pitch themselves into the BCSCG two years ago? They never pushed their own record--all they said was "We lost to the #1 team." Pretty pathetic argument. I, for one, am happy for this loss--it taints their "dynasty" as yet again they are watching someone else from the West play for an SEC title. They lost THE most impt game on their schedule AGAIN, and they're finally having to pay the consequences of losing to a divisional opponnent that is also in the NC hunt. When you lose to a divisional opponent and that opponent goes on to play for the NC, that should mean you are eliminated.

I am absolutely enjoying the schadenfreude of Bama losing and hearing them go absolutely apeshit over it.

FWIW--if Auburn makes the NCG, I'll probably cheer for the other team--unless it's Bama.

Juat because I am thrilled as hell that AU beat the Gumps, it doesn't mean I am living thru AU.
What kind of BS is that?
I am happy because I as an old time LSU fan, have a passionate dislike of all things Crimson Tide and have since I graduated from LSU in '72.

It was a great game and I am happy AU won PERIOD.
To say I am "dickriding" as the phallus imagery proclaimed by a lot of the Bama faithful say is pure horseshite. Wardamntigereagle!! till next year.

I don't know who Bama fans are rooting for and I don't care. My point is that's it's pathetic for LSU
s fanbase to take so much joy in a victory that LSU had nothing to do with.

I mean, I can say I dislike AU.

I can also say I despise Bama with the fury of a thousand suns.

Therefore, I was pleased by the outcome of the game.

Then why do you care if other LSU fans want Bama to lose?

The great thing about being an LSU fan is we have no rival; therefore, we can cheer situationally on what we feel is best for us. Clearly, most LSU fans thought it was best for LSU for Bama to lose. You happen to disagree.

I used to cheer for Bama over AU all the time. Until 2011--for very good reason.

Because I am LSU fan and like it or not, a fan is a reflection of the fanbase and vice versa. What concerns me is the ever increasing apathy for wins and saban obsession by many across Tiger Nation.

ETA: and LSU fans can root for any team to lose, but living out another teams win is pathetic.
