Since I hate LSU I would encourage them to destroy themselves. But I like Les and think he is a really good coach who, if not for Saban, would possibly be sitting at #1 or #2 coaches nationally over the last decade. I think right now they just don't have the right players and they should give him time.

I agree

1. it would be stupid

2. Even if TAF has the money it is a pretty bad optic to say hey lets spend 17 million here when the University is absolutely desperate for money.

Honestly, if the sports side was to waste money like that I would have to reallocate giving between TAF and Academics. TAF should probably have a meeting today about potential loss of my $100 a year lol

painfully agree. Outside of Saban, Meyer, no other coaches have won anything. Not even Harbaugh. But Les will have to at least try to get a short passing game plan in with creative running plays. You can't expect to beat bama man on man with the same philosophy as they have. They have better players and a better coach when it comes to teaching technique. But there is only one Saban and he ain't coming back.

Fans of other teams are terrified we may get rid of Les and get a real coach in here finally

That's not what they are saying. Honestly they are making some really good valid points.

Not really. Les has had a great run but I don't see how anyone with a straight face can say he projects to keep that pace going over the next 5+ seasons. He's 13-9 in the SEC over the last 3 years (with a great shot of losing at least another one). That's not what we're paying him to produce and this is not just about the last two weeks. His offenses are like watching paint dry and his teams execution/discipline are consistently awful. The Syracuse game is a perfect example. yeah we won the game but looked like hot garbage doing so and ended up barely eeking out victory over a team we are better than on every spot on the field who is starting a walk on at QB. Those kinds of "wins" happen all. the. time. and inspire no confidence at all, especially when we follow that up with another awful performance against Eastern Michigan then start getting blown out of the water when we hit the meat of our schedule. He has sucked the joy out of LSU football and it's time for a change.

His refusal to adapt or make adjustments,no matter what, is what is going to do him in.

I don't think he can even if he wanted to.

And I agree with you too. Not for or against. Things have been going down the past few years. The time to move on is at hand just not sure that it would happen this year or two years from now.
