15 is more accurate. Cliff Ellis had some pretty solid teams. We cheated to get there, buy they were solid.

Original poster was talking about Foley and Florida. Think crisp had a little problem with reading comprehension there.

No, genius. The post below was the original post of the conversation line...just go back to watching your cartoons on tv.

"Firing JJ right now will further destabilize your athletic department. A few years ago Gus and Bruce were slam dunk hires which both deserve more time."

I like the situation you are in, so does the rest of the west.

You quoted this.

Foley use to fit that role, but he has lost some luster after Muschamp and the slip of the BB Program

He was talking about Florida.

it's been in "slip" mode for 20 years!

Foley-Muschamp=UF

What a dumbass who can not figure that out. Someone who failed reading comprehension.

Just like Alabama pre-Saban.

Alabama's athletic department has never been run by the boosters like Auburn's is. Alabama's AD has always had a pretty singular focus, and that's why we've been as successful as we have been. The exception was the run of NCAA sanctions in between Stallings and Saban, not booster interference.

I wouldn't expect a Clemson fan to understand any of this, though, because you are ACC trash and despite playing in a garbage conference that should be easy to dominate, you have no idea what it takes to create long-term success in football.

See you in the 2075 national title game.

Mister Tee is just irritated with AU. It's not the ADs fault that some AU teams aren't competitive right now. Plenty are...softball, equestrian, gymnastics are doing fine.

The best that could happen to university of auburn would be for old Gregg to capture JJ and do to him what he did to Curly Jefferson.

He certainly deserves some of the blame. But he's just a dumb old football coach who is a puppet for the boosters. I think the decent hires he has made have been lucky.

And I am picturing you as a person that never had, nor shall ever have, the balls to question failings in the University that you went to. Did you actually go there, and do you really have a clue as to how Auburn has operated in the past? Same shite, different day.

As I said before, I think a "new...or fresh" perspective is needed right now.

I hate Universities who constantly brag about the money that they have to "solve" their problems.

That is a load of shite that many, many Athletic Departments across each conference think they have as a solution.

Auburn, FORTUNATELY, has the money. It is a true blessing.

We are putting that money into the wrong place, imo.

We need a better manager of that money right now...and that manager is called an Athletic Director. That is all I am saying.

I am not head-hunting for anyone's job...but we need to do what is best for Auburn. And that man is fricking wealthy. And we have contributed to that. Good for him!

But...don't feel sorry for him. He has had more than enough "just wait for it" seasons in his career on the Plains.

Jacobs has fired coaches that should be fired, he hasn't let a coach linger around for too long that wasn't at least somewhat competitive. He has administered a program that stayed out of NCAA troubles event after that 2yr colonoscopy yall went through. AU is making money, you are graduating your student athletes, he raised money and completed the Arena as well as other facility improvements, i.e. The fitness and nutrition center, and the Aubietron. He is in charge of the +$150mm stadium renovation. He has negotiated some lucrative contracts with UA and the new media/radio contract.

Some coaches have panned out, and some haven't but I doubt yall could ever find an AD that could love AU more than JJ. He is Auburn right down to his liver.

Then move him to Director of Athletic Finances and Media Affairs and let him act as a representative in that regard.

There is no doubting his ability to make money and make deals at this point.

But who wants a new, shiny, Basketball Arena, Football Stadium, or Baseball facility, if there is no athletic product to support?

He has also negotiated some shite contracts like the one Chizik had. Nobody was coming for Chizik after 2010 and we all knew it.

I blame it on Malzahn's offense. It wears out the defense, so you have collapses like you have. It's the mentality that it doesn't matter what the defense does, because the offense will just out-score everyone. But when that doesn't happen, and the defense needs to step up, they were too neglected to respond accordingly.

That's why Auburn DCs leave left and right....

Mister Tee is a refreshing change of pace...rather than the usual Aubs that cowtow the company/fambly line. You know who you are.

Kudos, Mr. Tee.
