We've had easy schedules the past two years. Two years does not equal all of time.

I like Georgia's chances to make a run for the crystal this year but this post by Genro really should have ended this thread.

But a mirror image of Bama in 2012? Break me a fricking give.

OP, just cut your losses and admit you were wrong.

ETA: Never mind... I see the OP just ran away on page 2 and never returned.

Are you fricking kidding me? We usually have a top 25 SOS.

UT is in a historic collapse, UF just got some stability back after a coaching change, it took Spurrier a few years to bring USCe up to SEC standards, Vandy UK Mizzou have never won and probably will never win the SEC east. If Bama, LSU, and A&M are down, and Auburn is good, is Ole Miss gonna win the West? probably not.

Read my previous post.

Ya'll won, but UF kicked your asses.

That's why we kept them out of the endzone and forced 6 turnovers right?

The playing field is being leveled. UGA just doesn't have the advantages that they've had for the past few years.

You serious? We have the top offense in the SEC and a talented defense. We have advantages to win the East.

And Richt is a joke.

Which is why he has .747 winning percentage and is one of only a few coaches to win 115 games in just 12 years.

I hope he stays in Athens forever.

You do know he is 8-4 vs Tennessee right?

He's 8-4 against tennessee, and hasn't lost since 2009. Considering we lost 9 of 10 before his arrival, yeah...I hope he stays around a while too.

USCe showed everyone that UGA will always be UGA.

I'm sorry that we had a pass tipped last SECCG.

Yeah that's called defense, good teams usually have one.

And who the frick are you to talk? Tennessee hasn't been relevant since 2007.

I never said we were

You may have been a force but there's not much to show for it. 2-2 in BCS bowl games. 2-4 in the SECCG.

UT is the #9 all time program, suck it.

Oh so being the number 3 team in nation isn't good enough. I bet you blame that tipped pass on us don't you.

2 SEC Titles and 2 Sugar Bowls is more then Tennessee can say in the same time frame

The wins from 09-present are sloppy. We lost, dont get me wrong, but we've been so so bad. We've had 3 coaches since then for christs sake.

In '99, the Titans were a yard short from winning the super bowl. But they didn't.

is tha#3 is great! But last time i checked, #3 usually lands you in a BCS bowl. Capital One? And no i don't blame a tipped pass on you, how is that even possible

Yeah, because UT is at a historical low. We're not good right now, and we havent even been decent since 07.

So that's like me saying well from '90 to '99 UT won 3 SEC titles and a NC, and UGA didnt even make it to ATL once. Football goes in cycles, we're down right now. We'll be back eventually.

No because Richt's teams always play sloppy, penalty-filled football. They don't have the discipline to play Alabama football.

The big difference IMO is who are the masterminds of those defenses: in one case you have the HC at Bama who is a proven master of defense, who have proven elite-level FBS defenses, and who brings in nationally elite prep defensive talent...

In the other case you have a DC who IMO is a solid DC but hasn't really proven himself at UGA yet: yes Bama's schedule last season wasn't the toughest but IMO UGA's schedules the past 2 seasons were even weaker than Bama's....

With UA you have a program that brings in #1-ranked classes regularly, while at UGA they bring in top-10 ranked classes. At UA they have led or tied the SEC in both total defense and scoring defense every year since 2008 (that year they tied with UT in total D and were 2nd to UF in scoring D). UGA has been around 4th or 5th in the SEC in those areas, if not lower....

With the defensive talent UGA has had the past 2 seasons, and against the talent level of the opposition they have faced, you'd think UGA would be top 3 at least in most defensive categories...even by default. But they weren't:

Pass D

11: 5th
12: 2nd

Pass Eff. D

11: 4th
12: 6th

Rush D

11: 3rd
12: 12th

Total D

11: 4th
12: 6th

Scoring D

11: 6th
12: 6th

What the frick? Did you watch the game? Did you see how many Gators got carted off or helped off with broke fricking arms? Everyone of those turnover except for one were caused by our defense. Deal with it!

IMO in the Sec defense wins championships, look at arky with petrino they had the best offense in the league but couldn't win the sec because their defense wasn't on par with bama or lsu. The same thing applies to uga this year, you maybe able to outscore everyone but if your defense sucks teams will score on you just as quickly.

No, Georgia will not. Mark Richt sucks and runs an undisciplined team full of morons. I say that, because only a moron would want to play for Georgia under Mark Richt.

Defense doesn't win SEC Championships.
Running the football does.

That explains Auburn 2010.
The immediate rise of A&M.
Bama, Florida, and LSU all ran for touchdowns either 1st or 2nd in the SEC during their championships.

And UGA has had a piss poor running game except for 2007 and 2012.

Has your arse stopped puckering yet from the SECCG?

Not a bad showing from a band of undisciplined morons.

And all of those teams played great defense except for auburn, but they had nick fairley who showed up in big games. It doesn't matter how you score or how quickly if you can't stop the opposition from doing the same
