Yea, UFAG didn't compromise ANYTHING during the CUM regime did they? Good lord, you know all the BS that went on when he was around. What was it? Five failed weed test and you get suspended for a half?

I'll give em credit they seem to have cleaned up their act since then.

The ONLY way to win big is to cheat big .You really don't need examples do you? I hope UGA never goes there.

I pray to God we never mirrow Bama in ANYTHING! Do you really want our school to let the football program and coach run the university? Have absolutely no respect for kids you recruit?

We'll win our way and let "them" win their way. Wouldn't trade all the MNC's in the world if we had to compromise our integrity the way Bama has.

God let Saban beat Notre Dame and gave him a mulligan against LSU.

I don't think he's going to hear your prayer.

Pssh, our streak of preseason championships started way before 1980.

Georgia will beat everyone on their schedule...except Florida, LSU, and some other random inferior opponent in a game too stupid to be understood by mere mortals such as ourselves.

The right way is the coach drug testing players the day they step back on campus from spring break last year. AND, suspending for as many as 4 games because of it.

I don't follow most teams in the SEC. I don't know how they operate. But teams like Florida, South Carolina, and LSU have blatantly hid failed tests for repeat offenders from the media. Your first failed test at UGA will pop you 2 games.

The right way isn't about the players.
It's about the coaches and what they think is important in developing and graduating their players.

This thread has Georgia fans stinging madder than a yellow jacket caught between the door and the screen.

Are their academics looked at any less because of their football program. No, and academics was the point you were driving at, somehow devaluing your degree if our football program was run differently.

Yep, and I wish we operated the same way. And also played a shitty OOC schedule. And did every single thing within the laws of the NCAA rulebook to win.

Ah…I remember going through this phase during the Shula years. "We may not win, but at least we're playing the game the RIGHT way."

That's the mentality you adopt to keep yourself from going crazy over the lack of championships.

Well apparently, you don't even have to abide by the NCAA rule book to win a NC and it be ok. 2010 showed that to us all.

The point I was "driving at" was about compromising your integrity. Academics is part of it as is multitude of other issues which included what Urban was letting his players get away with.

But UGA as an academic institution won't be looked at any differently based on how our football program operates. And 5 years later Urban isn't at UF anymore and few people outside of message board addicts remember or care about how he ran the program, yet they still have 2 national titles because of it.
