I would never say that any school is going to be like any other school, especially a team that has the best coach ive ever seen in cfb. However, I do think that we will suprise some folks and we have a great chance of ending back up in Atlanta. I also love the way some ppl bash Richt like he's the worst coach ever. If we fired him or he resigned then there would be a dozen teams or more lining up to hire him, even a few from the sec.

UGA, like Alabama lost most of their defense, but return 9 guys with starting experience 11 with significant playing time and had 11 early enrollees on the defensive side of the ball.

You lost most of your starters (who one must assume were the best players on the roster) on a defense that gave up 302, 306, 350, and 239 yards rushing in it's last four games.

It doesn't matter how good you are on offense, you aren't winning any crystal footballs if that trend continues.

Teams like bama and lsu have to run the gauntlet while Georgia strolls down easy street.

Let's not get caught up in the moment now...

I was just trying to get the thread going. I figured my gauntlet comment would have brought a few fanbases into the discussion

That looks really bad if you don't know who they played and their offenses. The other side of the coin is how many passing yards did they give up each game and how many points did they give up as a defense?

Muschamp just can't win in Jacksonville 0-6 going on 0-7.

We'll be picking up win number 50 in the series this year

Says who? SEC media days aren't til July and its pretty much even between UGA, USC and UF as to who will win the East.

Do you mean mirror image as in exact copy or mirror image as in exact opposite?

Our offense is national title caliber but it's the defense that raises questions. If we get out of our first 4 with just one loss or none, we have a great chance at winning the SEC

I have to say USC is the favorite with their cakewalk of a schedule compared to the other two.

Why is it that every year somebody (fans, writers, talking heads, etc.)trotts out Georgia's "talent laden" roster and proclaims the Dogs as the next National Champion"? Uhhhh...you reckon you're missing a little something here?...like the coaching?...the organization?...the overall mentality (toughness)of the program? Guys, when they start playing the games on paper, y'all will be my #1 pick!

This place is pretty pathetic. What a waste too. Tons of traffic

People just being jackasses.

I think you have to look at how long Richt has been at UGA, what has he done with the talent on the team since he's been there. Can he sustain the level of production he had last season? Can he develope and prepare the current players and have them competing at a high level this season?
Will the players on the team act as leaders and step up and play with intensity and drive? Will they feel a sense of urgency and play with motivation this year?

Too many questions - but IMO UGA will field a solid team again. I just don't know if it will translate into a BCSNC appearance.

Well we still have 3 straight road games without a bye. Even though the teams aren't projected to be good its a tougher stretch than UGA has had the past 2 years
