Had that pass not been tipped it would have been a int or knocked down. Bamas corner was cutting the GA reciever and the Bama safety had him long.
As the pass changed direction to the other Ga player the corner just changed his angle and helped make the tackle.
Mosley did step up though.
Ps. CMR will find a way to screw it up...

Just read through this thread, and the only thing I've picked up is that
Don't worry though. It's a common affliction that is easily explained by the sheer awesomeness of UGA, Athens, and the great Dawg nation.
To the OP: UGA could have a very good team, but they will not be like an Alabama style team in the way they play. It will be a high-flying offense with a defense trying to grow up on the fly.

maybe. maybe not. But we'll still beat the ever loving shite out of Auburn in Auburn again.

You have absolutely no way of knowing that. It was actually intended to be a back shoulder fade, which had been killing Bama all game. Actually the perfect pass for the situation you described.
Doesn't matter though, Mosley tipped, Conley caught it short. They won, we lost.

And all of those teams played great defense except for auburn, but they had nick fairley who showed up in big games. It doesn't matter how you score or how quickly if you can't stop the opposition from doing the same
Auburn was 8th in conference in scoring defense in 2010.
Texas A&M was 7th in conference last year in scoring defense.
The outliers tell you that the key to winning championships in the SEC is having a dominant running game that can score touchdowns on the ground (ie. not Arkansas. yes to Bama, LSU, Tim Tebow... Georgia and A&M were close last year with solid running games despite issues defensively. Bama won the SECCG on the ground. Not with their defense).
It's fact. Not conjecture.
Look at the SEC Champions the past 7 years and look at their rushing TDs. They all are dominant.
South Carolina fell short last year with a Nick Fairley type player. You only ran for 19 rushing TDs. It's how come you couldn't pull an Auburn 2010.

I pray to God we never mirrow Bama in ANYTHING! Do you really want our school to let the football program and coach run the university? Have absolutely no respect for kids you recruit?
We'll win our way and let "them" win their way. Wouldn't trade all the MNC's in the world if we had to compromise our integrity the way Bama has.

Aaron Murray (did I get his name right?) ain't Dan Marino....they should have spiked the ball, and taken the time to script the perfect play...they would have won. It was a bad call by Richt, and a bad play by Murray....and so you have Alabama getting their 3rd NC on another team's misfortune.

What did Dan Marino win?
Spiking the ball wouldn't have changed anything.
When you have the defense on their heels (UGA was really moving the ball with ease), you go for the throat. You don't let the defense set.
Who knows... the play could have been tipped and caught in bounds after a spike and the game still would have been over.
Congrats to Bama.

I clearly said except for auburn and remind me what year a&m won the sec again. But to answer your question our DEFENSE couldn't stop jeremy hill from lsu and our offense didn't even showed up against uf DEFENSE, also the reason uga didn't score till late in the 4th vs us was our DEFENSE shited on yall. So you can make the argument that rushing leads to championships (although it helps) my statement is that defense eventually wins it for you

You don't know that spiking wouldn't have changed "anything" Bobo admitted after the game the we shoulda spiked it then he changed his tune and said the Dawgs used too much time lining up. Spiking was the smart call. Bama had us covered like blanket...no way in hell did we have them on their "heels".

We just completed 3 consecutive passes for 65 yards. And we did it without a timeout or stoppage of play.
We marched all the way down the field and didn't want to allow a substitution for more of a defensive personnel experienced with their backs against the wall.
Murray did take too long at the line of scrimmage.
But he was trying to make sure we had the right play called by what the defense was showing (kind of what you were hoping for with a stoppage of play). You can fault him all you want. The way that time ran out on the clock was a fluke and not Murray's fault. And again... flukish execution on plays have nothing to do with spiking the ball to save clock and get a different call.

What substitution woulda worked to Bama's advantage? Look at the play again... their players were in far better posistion before the snap than our guys. Any advantage we had by having them on their "heels" was erased because of the time we took getting the play off.

I would, without even thinking for one millisecond.

I'm proud of our high academic standing as well. But if we went balls to the wall dedicated to winning titles, that wouldn't taint that. Florida is just as prestigious academically as we are and they don't have a problem doing what it takes to win.
