Tubbs was a good coach that was too conservative on offense and content to win 8 games a year. He just didn't work hard enough in recruiting towards the end and was loyal to a fault with some of his assistants.

And you can get away with that if BAMA is weakened by sanctions. As soon as BAMA got back to strength with quality coaching, Tubbs was exposed.

...and some can keep it real. Tubbs is a convienent yet somewhat legitimate excuse but you cant have your cake and eat it too. There are alot of Auburn fans who loved him when it was good and knowing now what we do about him are having to admitt he was a joke.

He ran his course at auburn. He's gone. Anyone who thinks the depleated numbers are not his fault are just downright wrong. I don't see what liking him in 2004 has to do with me disliking his final recruiting class.

Anyone that thinks he is a joke is an idiot. He was a very good coach.

He was an average recruiter and didn't have what it takes to out-recruit Saban (or at least be competitive recruiting against him).

What hardware did Saban put in the case during those 3 wins. Jus' sayin. Besides Tubbs saw the writing on the wall and was probably glad to be out.

Maybe because you cant admit you were wrong about him back in '04 or admit that his success was a result of BAMA's probation and scholly losses.

Changing up the criteria, huh?

YOU said Saban exposed him for being average. How can Tuberville control what happens with Saban's teams outside of one game a year?

But not surprising you're trying to back pedal by looking at your post history.

I think the problem is that you are obsessed with AU and haven't gotten over Tubbs beating Bama 6 times in a row. You realize he only played Bama 1 time per year right?

We are never going to win another game ever.

Except for the next few years when we are contending for the West, but outside of that... EVER.

Does Cadillac Williams (a lifelong BAMA fan)go to Auburn if BAMA is not facing sactions, or has Saban as the coach. BAMA being down helped Auburn in more ways than just head to head. The fact that you are unable to recognize this shows your unable to be objective.

What was i wrong about in 2004? Dude went undefeated, meaning beating everyone. Or are you going to stick with this revisionist version of history?
