One year removed from a BCS championship, and Auburn looks like it may be irrelevent for many years to come. They might lose by 20+ to both LSU and Bama this year. Doesn't look good imo.

Will be competing for the West next year and for more than that in 2013.

None, we just won the NC. We knew it was going to be a rebuilding year.

That's a bit of a stretch. I was expecting 5-7 wins depending on how it goes this year. After 3 games that is still the case.

This year and next will be a struggle. But after that they should be pretty good. They have recruited to well not to be.

Terrible assessment and this year does not reflect years to come. Go back to the soccer board it is clear you don't know shite about football.

every auburn fan i talked to in pre-season said this. the optimistic ones would say anywhere between 8-9 wins, and some of the pessimistic/realists said 5-7 wins.

frankly, their offense is working better than expected. what's surprising is just HOW bad their defense seems at this point. i would have figured it would have been the other way around, but not to the measure of competition that both sides of auburn football are playing.

I thought we would win 7 and hoped for 8. We still have a chance at 7, but 8 is out of the question. 6 wins is probably most likely at this point.

Remaining games I think AU wins:

FAU
Samford
OM

Toss up games (I think AU wins 1 of these; maybe 2 with some luck):

UGA
USCe
Florida

Probable Losses:

Arky
LSU
Bama

Our schedule doesn't read 8-9 wins with LSU, Ark, and USCe all road games.

I figured the offense would be fine. Trotter has been there long enough to know the system. The only offensive question was the OL and they have performed better than I thought they would.

I knew defense would hurt. It has been a weak point in this regime and with the youth on that side of the ball I knew it would be a struggle. But this is bad.

All depends on the defense. If they fail to improve significantly over the next two years then they could be in for some issues.
