Dude had a serial killer, thieves, burglers, druggies, an eye-gouger, domestic abusers, and a guy who choked an assistant coach without consequence on the SAME ROSTER. I'm not sure who could argue that Urban loves him some thugs. Let's see, he also manipulated a police investigation to "clear" a safety that broke into a tow yard and stole his car out so that he could play in a big game the next weekend.

Let's just say, Urban can't spell "ethics" or "integrity."

This is a massive overstatement- Urban now is basically a Saban level guy in terms of tolerance, but Urban when he first came in was a hardass- it all changed with the death of Avery Atkins after that it was really hard for him to justify kicking people off as opposed to suspending them and then trying to help them turn their lives around.

Which do you think is more likely, that Boise selected to be more forthcoming with certain schools compared to others, or they told all the schools that asked about him the same thing?

No one could know. Do you tell your close friends the same level of detail about things in your life as you do mere acquaintances? The question is purely rhetorical. SI wants you to draw the inference because Florida was told something that Baylor must be lying. What you are challenged to do is be skeptical and look at the things that you have to assume to connect those items. I think the main point is that no one knows, but we do know that Petersen and Briles have diametrically opposed stories.

Oh yeah. Urban is a beacon of helping young people. The rest of the world just misunderstands his circle of trust system. The Sporting News had it all wrong.

I don't think the casual or even die-hard fan really cares about this. This is one of those things that the media thinks is a big deal and they want it to be a big thing, but it just isn't. Like DJ Fluker getting paid or Eddy Lacy allegedly manipulating his grades, the story just doesn't move the needle.

No, this is a bit different-- this a "coach of a national title contender could very well be fired in the next few weeks" level scandal.

It sure generated interest when Saban let Taylor on his team. Where is all the outrage and outcry? Could it be that there is a different standard for coaches in the SEC? Especially Saban? Nah, that couldn't be it.......

This is a bit different given what happened post-admission. The Saban thing was like Stoops keeping Mixon on OU.

If "those things in my life" were 100% work related and could become public record, yes I do

The main point is that Muschamp denying his transfer corroborates the idea that Briles is lying about what he knows, and supports what Petersen has said.

All this talk about Urban Meyer is irrelevant and your deductive reasoning skills are shite.

Baylorfans is in complete denial/head in sand mode right now. It's pathetic and sad, yet hilarious.

Well that's like your opinion, man. Also, frick you. Telling one person something does not prove you told someone else. It might prove that you were open about it in the past, but the only thing that matters is what makes it more likely that Baylor was told. Then again, that only matters if you hold Briles responsible for the ultimate outcome of taking a troubled kid on a football team.

You guys are just crazy jealous that Baylor's stridently pro-rape agenda will allow them to once again proudly carry the Big 12 banner into another a high profile bowl game - and lose.

Look, they need to step up their game if they want to be FSU West-- letting cops who aren't boosters or security guards off the clock investigate athletes, not stacking the jury pool so the foreman (a fan and university employee) can say stuff like this post-trial "I think 5 of the 6 of us were ready to let him go before we even sat down" , that's Amateur hour.

No, right now he's a Saban, Miles, Tressel level guy-- he'll let things slide, but early at Florida he kicked people off for stuff major coaches don't generally care about he changed after one of the players he kicked off committed suicide.

Wait...you're an Ole Miss fan-- seriously, a guy whose starting QB might be Chad Kelly is ragging on coaches for letting things slide?

As would the internet fans of every major school if their coach/administration had done something this stupid.

Are you seriously comparing those two things to a girl being sexually assaulted by a player with a previous history of violence?

It is very risky to make a decision on admittance/denial on claims without any legal conviction. Thoughts to the victim of this horrible situation.

We know Petersen and Briles had a previous connection. Whats the link between Petersen and Muschamp? Seemed like Petersen was shopping the dude to people he knew well.

And another thing: if Boise knew this kid was such a tPOS why are they not catching any flak for trying to pawn him off on whichever a-hole was dumb enough to take him? Why is Baylor taking all the heat?

Full disclosure: I've never even stepped foot in Texas and I don't care either way.
